Source discrepancies
What the warehouse found when it checked this series: the same figure from two agencies, splice overlaps, published rates against ones recalculated from the index, and outliers.
- Disagrees with itself8 Sep 2026
The report of 8 Sep 2026 gives the previous day's price as 2,500; that day's own report gave 3,000.
Price previous: 3,000 and 2,500, difference 0.167.
CBSL/downloads/Statistics/Economic Indicators/Price Report/2026/price_report_20260908_e - Daily Price Report - 08 September 2026.pdf: previous-report column = 2500.0, but 2026-09-07's own Today = 3000.0 (16.7% apart)
The report's 'yesterday' column differs from the previous report's 'today' on 0.2% of comparisons in 2021-2026 (364 of 209,923) and 1.1% in 2019-2020 (357 of 33,249, clustered in a few reports whose 'yesterday' column restates a different day): CBSL correcting a price the next day, or a typo in one of the two. Which is right is not known; the observation is each day's own 'today'.
