What the warehouse found when it checked this series: the same figure from two agencies, splice overlaps, published rates against ones recalculated from the index, and outliers.
- Disagrees with itself5 Dec 2024
The report of 5 Dec 2024 gives the previous day's price as 237; that day's own report gave 235.
Price previous: 235 and 237, difference 0.009.
CBSL/downloads/Statistics/Economic Indicators/Price Report/2024/price_report_20241205_e - Daily Price Report - 05 December 2024.pdf: previous-report column = 237.0, but 2024-12-04's own Today = 235.0 (0.9% apart)
The report's 'yesterday' column differs from the previous report's 'today' on 0.2% of comparisons in 2021-2026 (364 of 209,923) and 1.1% in 2019-2020 (357 of 33,249, clustered in a few reports whose 'yesterday' column restates a different day): CBSL correcting a price the next day, or a typo in one of the two. Which is right is not known; the observation is each day's own 'today'.
