Notes
Read from the Port Services table of CBSL's Monthly Economic Indicators; the Sri Lanka Ports Authority compiles the figures. Each issue gives the latest month and the same month a year earlier; every reading is kept as a vintage. Recent issues cover the ports of Colombo, Galle, Trincomalee and Hambantota International Port (container handling: Colombo only); older ones exclude the smaller northern ports. The annual series LK.SOC.PORTS.*.A come from the Economic and Social Statistics, in thousand tonnes. The July 2025 issue prints cargo in thousand tonnes under the MT heading; those figures are converted to tonnes.
